Why I'm building this

I'm Carlos. I'm a solo developer in York, UK. I use Claude Code every day. I shipped Asermu (opens in a new tab) earlier this year and I'm starting a handful of smaller products this summer.

The first few days of each project kept looking identical: glue Next.js, Auth.js, Prisma, Stripe, Resend and R2 together, write the same CLAUDE.md from scratch, stand up the same sub-agents, re-learn the same gotchas. Worse, Claude Code's output quality was noticeably held back by the state of the repo it was working in - not the model.

Groundrun is that scaffolding extracted and polished. I'm building it for me first, then selling it to the handful of other devs who keep hitting the same wall.

When does it launch?
Late May 2026, debuting on Product Hunt. Waitlist members get emailed the moment it goes live.
Will waitlist members actually get the £99?
Yes — automatically. Your email is matched against the waitlist at checkout and the price drops to £99. No code to misplace, no time window to miss.
What if I don't use Claude Code?
Strongly recommended. The whole differentiator is the Claude Code scaffolding - the CLAUDE.md, sub-agents, slash commands, hooks, and MCP config. The template still works as a plain Next.js SaaS starter without Claude Code, but you'd be buying an expensive `create-next-app` at that point.
Is there a beta I can see?
No public beta. Waitlist members get first access at launch — that's the whole deal.
What's in the box?
See the What's in the box section above. Short version: Next.js 15 (App Router) + TypeScript, Tailwind, Auth.js, Prisma + Postgres, Stripe, Resend, Cloudflare R2, and the Anthropic SDK. Biome for lint/format. pnpm.
Refund policy?
14-day refund, as long as you haven't accepted the GitHub invite to the private template repo. Once the invite is accepted, the access is delivered and refunds are closed.
Team licence?
Available at a higher tier for studios or agencies who want more than one developer on the template. Email [email protected] for details.
What about updates?
v1.x updates are free for the lifetime of the 1.x line. v2.0 will be a paid upgrade at a discounted rate for existing buyers.
Can I resell or redistribute it?
No. Single-buyer EULA - you use it on as many of your own projects as you like, but you can't ship it on to someone else. Full terms at the EULA page.
